I was around London during LC:M and all I can say there was a great buzz around London during the event. The event attracted the likes of Tom Ford, Tinie Tempah, David Gandy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Reggie Yates and was also acknowledged by the prime minister.
Here are a few looks I’ve picked out from the shows that I’m looking to work with next fall and winter.
My favourite looks were from Oliver Spencer and YMC. I liked the oversized checks used by Lou Dalton and the Hackett range was a great take on british tailoring. I was loving the print by Katy Eary and some of the peices from Qasimi looked great.
I love that splash of colour in the winter and orange was a popular colour in the shows. I feel I can use these bold colours as a bottom layer underneath double breasted blazers. I’m also liking the long mac or trench coats and will make sure I have one in my wardrobe for next fall. I will probably look out for some print t shirts or shirts to work as an under garment just peaking through as a replacement for the bold colours at times. I’m not bold enough to go all out print.
I have missed out on the SIBLING knitwear that was being talked about a lot but I thought I would leave those to stay on the catwalk and on the other blogs.
